At Hughes-Elizabeth Lakes our staff is committed to ensuring student success. We are student advocates and truly believe that all students deserve a warm and nurturing learning environment in which students are supported by parents, staff, and each other. We want students to be empowered so that they understand they have the capability for making excellent decisions. We also believe that students operate more effectively when consequences, positive and negative, are well defined and consistently enforced.
We encourage parents to become involved on our campus, through our outstanding Parent Teacher Association as well as by volunteering in individual classrooms. We are fortunate to have so many parent volunteers in our community and we look forward to adding some new community members to that vital parent group.
Finally, the success of each student is dependent on a strong and ongoing home/school relationship. Please maintain a close contact with your student’s teachers. Feel free to email your student’s teachers. Individual e-mail addresses can be found at our website: heluesd.org. Our School Board meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month and we invite the community to attend and participate.
